Dan Henderson has repeatedly said his October 4th bout with Michael Bisping is going to be his last scrap, however it looks like the legend may be convinced to return…if the cost was right.
Henderson will face Bisping in the primary event of UFC 204, in what is going to be the latter’s first title defense, since he bombed out Luke Rockhold to get the 185 champ. Despite the fact Henderson could secure championship gold inside bout, the 46 year-old wonder says the contest is going to be his last, win or lose.
Well, recently “Hendo” spoke to Champions.co, and also the decorated fighter relayed this:
“I’m sure by incorporating extra zeros back there I would consider finding their way back,” Henderson said.
“But, concurrently, I was prepared to be done [in] my last fight. With the possiblity to finish that has a belt and stay the world champ after my career, I couldn’t refuse to that. When they offered me that, I said that this is going to be my last one for certain, win or lose.”
There you have it. Now, would the UFC offer Henderson a raise if he became champ? Absolutely. The powerful wrestler is a big draw, and when he turns into a champion on the age of 46, Henderson are going to be a bigger star than in the past.
But, would that raise match what Henderson was alluding to? That’s a tougher question.
UFC 204 will require place in Manchester, England. In 2009, Henderson scored a vicious, KO make an impression on Bisping, and it’s likely that you’ve seen that highlight a bazillion times.
